2nd Officer – 70m Private Yacht We are seeking an experienced 2nd Officer to join a 70-meter private yacht. This role is ideal for a skilled and motivated officer with strong navigational knowledge, leadership abilities, and a hands-on approach to deck operations and safety management. Responsibilities: Assist the Chief Officer in managing deck operations and safety procedures. Stand navigation watches and ensure safe vessel operations. Oversee and maintain navigational equipment, charts, and passage planning. Lead deck maintenance projects, ensuring high standards of exterior upkeep. Assist with ISM/ISPS compliance, safety drills, and crew training. Supervise and mentor junior deck crew, ensuring proper training and development. Operate tenders and oversee water sports activities when required. Ensure adherence to all maritime regulations and vessel procedures. Requirements: Previous experience as a 2nd Officer on a yacht (preferably 50m+). OOW 3000GT license required (Chief Mate 3000GT preferred). Strong navigation and watchkeeping skills. Proficiency in passage planning, ECDIS, and bridge equipment. Experience with ISM, ISPS, and safety management systems. Strong leadership and training skills. STCW and ENG1 medical certification required. Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
