JOB TITLE: Director of Application Development

JOB DUTIES:

Serve as a software engineering and technology leader for the company. Collaborate with company’s architecture and operations teams regarding our platform and end-to-end operations. Ensure that all actions promote our company’s mission statement while performing analytics and quantitative analyses to justify all offered technical recommendations. Lead the implementation and execution of the company’s key software programs and products. Influence both employees and contractors/partners as part of the development process while ensuring that required quality practice is followed as part of program executions. Leverage experience and expertise to ensure that software engineering processes, patterns, and practices are followed during the program execution phase while demonstrating strong individual leadership skills by establishing clear goals, objectives, and priorities that align with the program. Manage a team of software engineers, system and application architects. Collaborate with fellow engineering leaders and product owners to ensure that program timelines are managed and met while developing and monitoring metrics to measure software performance and availability and make recommendations for improvements as needed. Provide ongoing production support to meet rapid turnaround requirements from external customers while collaborating with product cybersecurity teams on the program to drive application data security and ensure a secure development lifecycle. Continue to ensure that all processes within your purview adhere to strict internal as well as industry standards, requirements, and regulations.

Supervises (7 abroad) direct reports.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 2 years of experience leading application programming interface (API) development, database administration, and server management for a business application platform.

Experience to include 2 years of experience in Agile methodologies, DevOps.

Open-source Technologies: Core PHP, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP Framework, Jenkins, Git, and Github building scalable and secure Web and Mobile applications in cloud-infrastructure and leading software engineering teams.

Annual Salary: $61,547 to $115,000 (40 hours/week)
